A Special Message to Boulder County Residents

No words on a page can express the difficult times that so many of our fellow citizens have experienced in the past several days. For all of us, we watched helplessly as a natural disaster consumed the homes and threatened the lives of our families, friends and neighbors. Even days later, we are still struggling to come to terms with the tragedy that has befallen our friends in Boulder County.

At the same time, we have seen a powerful outpouring of support from everyone in the region. From donations to evacuation centers to setting up fundraising sites, our fellow residents in Colorado have overwhelmingly responded with compassion and generosity. Providing support to families impacted by the fire will be a long-term process and rebuilding communties will take time.

In the coming days, we will be publishing information to help navigate the many challenges that people will face in the coming months and years. Our office will also connect to the local and state bar organizations to coordinate and provide any assistance we can. In the meantime, if you have been impacted by the fire and have legal or any other questions, please feel free to call our office, reach out to me or schedule a consultation appointment. I will do my best to get you the help you need or connect you with resources you may need.

Planning For the Ones You Love

Our estate planning process begins with a Family Wealth Planning Session. Before the Session, you will complete homework that will have you feeling more organized and put together than you have in a long time. Maybe ever.

During the Session, we will look at what would happen to all of what you have and everyone you love, if anything were to happen to you. Then we will create a plan together to make sure everything goes the way you want. You can control your future and do things today that will help your family during one of their most emotional and difficult moments. They will always know how much you cared about them and will be relieved of many of the difficult choices they would have otherwise been forced to make.

At Kinney Law Office, we see the signing of your estate planning documents as just the beginning of our relationship with your family. Over time, your assets will change, your family will change, the law will change and your life will change. Your plan must evolve and adapt to these changes to make sure it works when your family needs it the most. Let's get started today!
