Benjamin Kinney is an attorney and founder of Kinney Law Office, where his practice focuses on estate planning, probate, and mineral rights law for families and individuals throughout Colorado and Wyoming. He helps clients stay out of court and out of conflict through proactive legal planning and strategic asset protection.

Before establishing his private practice, Ben spent more than a decade advising foreign governments and private stakeholders on the legal, regulatory, and policy frameworks governing energy development and natural resource management. His background in international energy law and resource governance gives him a sophisticated understanding of asset structures, risk management, and strategic planning—expertise he now brings to families and mineral owners seeking to protect what matters most.

Ben also serves his community through leadership and service. He is a board member of the National Association of Royalty Owners (NARO) and an active member of the Broomfield North Metro Kiwanis Club, where he helps organize community projects that support local families. His dedication to service has earned him recognition as Best Legal Services in Our Broomfield magazine for both 2023 and 2024.

Outside of the office, Ben enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, and cheering on the Wyoming Cowboys. He’s an avid camper, pickleball player, and golfer, and loves spending time outdoors with his family, taking full advantage of Colorado’s mountains and open spaces.
